Report Description:

You can find the number of visitors who came to your site for first time during the selected time period. According to the screenshot, 288 new visitors came to the demo site on January 1. This is a bit lower than the average three-month result (333) and the maximum three-month result (440).

Comparison of the actual numbers to the averages and maximums will tell you if serious changes in referrers have taken place. This information is especially important for operators of sites who expect recurring visits.
